中美锅炉系统节能减排研讨会

ECP’s Industrial Energy Efficiency Working Group (IEEWG) participate in the “US-China Boiler Energy Efficiency and Emission Improvement Workshop” hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) and the US Trade Development Agency (USTDA) in Beijing on May 14, 2013.

Co-organized by ECP and the Machinery Industry Energy and Resources Conservation Center, Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, National Electrical Manufacturers Association and Institute for Sustainable Communities, the workshop was attended by over 100 representatives from the Chinese and Us governments as well as industry. In addition to USTDA, the US government was represented by the US Foreign Commercial Service, Department of Energy, and Environmental Science, Technology and Health section. The ESCO Committee of China Energy Conservation Association (EMCA), China Industrial Conservation and Clean production Association and China Energy Conservation Professionals Unionwere also supporters of the meeting.

During the meeting, Mr Gao Dongsheng, MIIT’s Deputy Director General of the Energy Efficiency and Resources Utilization department, stressed the need for China’s boiler industry to further improve its energy efficiency and welcomed collaboration with US industry. IEE WG members Honeywell, ST. Johnson, LP Amina and GE shared their expertise with their Chinese colleagues regarding boiler system operation and management efficiency, steam efficiency in thermal power networks, fuel supply system and development trends.Chinese industry participants included Taishan Group, Harbin Hongguang Boiler Group Co., Ltd, Jiangsu Shuangliang Boiler Co., Ltd, CECEP Liuhe Talroad Environmental Technology Co., Ltd, Shougang Corporation.

The ECP IEEWG is co-chaired by Dow Chemical with the members representing four industry value chains: raw material and formulated solution suppliers; equipment and control system manufacturers; data management and information integration providers; and benchmarking, assessment and engineering solutions providers. The workshop marks the beginning of a series of cooperative initiatives with MIIT and ECP on energy efficiency.
